THIS refers to a water plant constructed just next to the entrance of my house by the Rawalpindi municipality, while I was busy performing duties in PIA and the house was unoccupied. Additionally, a room for installing a motor pump was also constructed attached to the house wall.

This has not only devalued my property, but I am also not able to sell it. The house has collapsed and needs visit by some government authority. I receive Rs6,070 from pension which is a meagre amount, keeping in view the rising inflation.

Where should old citizens, who are not well connected or influential, go before they die their own death. They gave their youth to the country when it needed their strength. They must also be owned by the state, and their problems need state assistance to redress issues pending for decades.
