RENALA KHURD, Sept 17: A teenaged girl and her minor sister were found dead in mysterious circumstances here on Tuesday.
Okara District Police Officer Babar Bukht Qureshi told the media that Latif of Nusrat Town, father of Sonia (18) and Zainab (two), said his daughters had died after drinking stale juice.
Hours later, he retracted the statement and said his younger daughter had died when a hard object stuck in her throat while Sonia died as she could not bear the shock of Zainab’s death.
Police said they were investigating the case.—APP
