LAHORE, Aug 1: Pakistan Swimming Federation (PSF) president retired Major Majid Waseem has been elected as executive member of the FINA Masters Committee.

According to a press release issued by the PSF here on Thursday, Majid already holds the posts of Asian Masters Committee chairman and Asia Swimming Federation Associate Secretary-General.

Meanwhile, in the ongoing World Swimming Championship in Barcelona, Miss Anum Bandey broke the national record in 200m breaststroke with a timing of 02:55.65 whereas the old record was 02:57.54 set by Lianna Swan who is also participating in the championships.

Overall, both Anum and Lianna have improved three national records in Barcelona.—Sports Reporter
