ISLAMABAD, July 11: About 134 Bugti tribesmen were arrested by Kohsar police for beating and injuring the traders of China Market on Wednesday night, but they were released by district and sessions court on Thursday, police said.

Earlier, the Kohsar police registered a case against the Baloch in response of a complaint lodged by Zahid Hussain, an owner of a restaurant in the market.

Mr Hussain stated that a man came to his restaurant for dinner and put his mobile on charging. When he was about to leave he took a mobile of another person lying near his mobile.

However, he was caught by restaurant staff and asked him to return the mobile, which led to exchange of harsh words between them.

Later the man left from the restaurant but soon returned and brought with him over 100 people armed with iron rods, batons and weapons.

The tribesmen ransacked restaurant and its adjacent shops, besides beating the shopkeepers badly.—Staff Reporter
