THIS refers to a long and tiring process that people leaving Pakistan on work visas have to face at the protectorate office in Karachi. Many people might not be aware but if one leaves Pakistan on a foreign work visa, then one is required to get one’s passport stamped by the protectorate office.

Instead of having a one-window operation, people are made to rush from one place to another, including banks which are situated somewhat far away from the protectorate office.

The director at the protectorate office said it could be made into ‘one-window’ operation very easily and the whole process could become easy if the federal government issued such a policy.
