MIRAMSHAH/PESHAWAR, June 18: Two personnel of Khasadar Force were killed in an attack on a checkpost near Mirali Town in North Waziristan Agency on Tuesday, officials said.

They said that Tega checkpost near Mirali came under attack on Monday night that left two khasadars dead. The killed khasadars were identified as Bakhtullah and Asadullah.

The political administration imposed curfew in the area till 3pm on Tuesday. A search operation was also conducted, but no arrest was made.

In Peshawar, the house of the former MPA of Awami National Party, Alamgir Khalil, was partially damaged when a bomb went off in front of its main gate in the wee hours of Tuesday.

The bomb went off at 2:30am, according to an official of Peshtakhara police station. Fortunately no human loss was reported while the main gate of the house of the MPA was damaged in the bomb blast, police said.

It is worth mentioning that Alamgir Khalil narrowly escaped a roadside bomb blast a year ago.
