RAWALPINDI, June 3: Chief minister-designate of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif met some senior military officials at Chaklala Garrison on Monday night.
Sources said Mr Sharif reached the Chaklala Garrison at about 8pm.
He discussed with the army officials issues relating to security.
He left for Lahore in his special plane at 9.30pm.
Maj Gen Asim Saleem Bajwa, spokesman for the Inter-Services Public Relations, refused to comment on the matter.
However, a source in the military confirmed Mr Sharif’s visit to the garrison and said the PML-N leader had actually gone there to condole with Quarter Master General Lt Gen Sajjad Ghani over the death of his mother.

Why he always prefer to meet them in dark. During work hours is not a good time?

I note with interest that Mr. Shahbaz Sharif flew in his special plane to condole with a General on the death of his mother. Do these people really know how an average Pakistani lives?. I am talking about the ones that don't have a laptop....

@Hasan Hasni:
plausible deniability, just like he and his older brother rant a lot against the drones and call taliban as their brothers but in the dark they dont spare a moment to clarify their position to American diplomats.
Ch Nisar who in public is a very diehard critic of the army, also goes in the dark and meets the army to get favours.
