RAWALPINDI, Sept 28: Two persons, including a British national of Pakistani origin, were murdered in separate incidents in the city on Friday.

Police said two unidentified persons came to meet Malik Iqbal, the UK national, at his house in Bahar Colony, Chakri Road. He asked them to sit in the drawing room but shortly afterwards they left the house.

Soon after, police said Mr Iqbal, aged about 60-65 years, was found shot dead in the drawing room.

Gul Zaib, 20, a poultry dealer was shot dead by an unidentified person near Bagh Sardaran. Police said Gul Zaib was going home on his motorbike when he was targeted.

Imtiaz Gul, the brother of the victim, told the police that he had no enmity with anyone.

Police said it was not a robbery attempt as cash remained intact in the pocket of the victim.

However, old enmity as a motive behind the murder cannot be ruled out.
