KARACHI: President Asif Ali Zardari on Friday vowed that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) will foil all conspiracies against democracy, DawnNews reported.

He was speaking after balloting of Wasila-i- Haq Sindh Programme launched by the co-chairman of the party Bilawal Bhutto under which Rs 12 billion will be distributed among 35,000 youths of the province to begin their own businesses.

“If PPP-led coalition government was allowed to complete its term, it will change fate of people through its welfare programmes,” said the president.

The president declared that PPP was determined to transform the fate of Pakistan by foiling all conspiracies against democracy.

“We will give a safe and secure Pakistan to our future generations. We have set directions in every sphere of life especially the economy,” said the president.

He said “time and again…. conspiracies are hatched against the government but we defuse the situation.”

Later President gave cheques to successful candidates. In first balloting 13,713 candidates were declared eligible for grant.
