LAHORE, July 20: A wagon driver was clubbed to death on Wednesday by his two colleagues in Datanagar.

Badami Bagh police said 21-year-old Majid Ali, of Faisalabad, was attacked by suspects Imran and Iqbal with an iron rod at a wagon stand after they quarrelled with each other over some issue. The injured was rushed to Lahore General Hospital where he succumbed to his head wound.

The police registered a case against the runaway suspects on the complaint of victim’s father Rafique.

ACCIDENTS: A child and a teenaged boy were killed and another injured in road accidents on Wednesday, the police said.

Shahdara police said a collision between a motorcycle and a tonga left one-year-old Raza dead and his maternal uncle, Shahbaz, injured in Begumkot. Shahbaz was traveling on his motorcycle along with his nephew from Sheikhupura to Lahore. The injured was admitted to Services Hospital.

In another accident, Burki police said, 16-year-old Irfan died when his motorcycle was hit by a vehicle on Bedian Road near Paragon City.

Passerby captured the driver and handed him over to police later.
