KARACHI, Feb 7: A sessions court on Monday sentenced a man to five years in prison in a land-grabbing case.

The court found Mohammad Iqbal guilty of unlawfully occupying the plot of complainant Nasreen Anis in 2000 in Model Colony.

The additional district and sessions judge (east), Chaudhry Waseem Iqbal, pronounced his verdict after hearing both sides and also imposed a fine of Rs50,000 on Iqbal. In case of non-payment the convict would undergo an additional three-month imprisonment.
