What I learn from reading about these controversial issues in Dawn that Dawn is a great news site. This is something all Pakistanis can be proud of and not many such medias are there in India.

I really liked reading the article. One needs to have courage to write/talk abt the miskates that have been commited by them.
I wish Pakistanis will learn from their Past and will create a great nation.

School textbooks have been considered as tools to change minds of future generations. However,in the era of internet, next generation will not be easily fooled.

    Great Article!

Great article. Very thought provoking. We must learn from our mistakes and use the lesson for the future. Also a concious effort must be made to settle the case of ‘refuges’ still living a life of suffering in camps in Bangladesh and call themselves Pakistani.

Its a bitter reality that every country has the different scenario of the same scene about there country. Pakistan teaches as its the best, bangali and indian teaches as they are best..but the reality was murdered at that time only.

As a Bangladeshi Journalist I feel separation of Pakistan will be evaluated correctly and objectively after 50 years. Then history will somehow be separated with myths and so many facts, documents will surface to substantiate every pros and cons.
Once one of the Pak PM told me- for a strong Pakistan we require a strong Bangladesh and for a strong Bangladesh you ( BD ) require a strong Pakistan. Lets forget and forgive, follow Vietnam- see what they have achieved.

yea we r given the diet of lies…. there is not a modicum of truth in what is being taught us in the name of history. We have built our ideology on falsity…we lack in the morality to accept our mistakes.and that is y we stand nowhere in the community of nations.

Besides history, people in sub-continent need to appreciate the nation’s efforts and success achieved in human development against all odds.
