HYDERABAD, April 15: The newly-installed Sindh government has started reshuffling various offices of government.

These postings have so far been made in Hyderabad, Jamshoro, Tando Allahyar and Matiari districts.

DCOs of Tando Allahyar and Matiari have been replaced.

Postings of officials are largely taking place over their association with different officials of district governments.

For instance, DCO Tando Allahyar, Dr. Farooq Leghari, who has been asked to report to SGAD was reportedly quite close to Magsi family that had routed PPP-backed Awam Dost Panel in 2005 local bodies elections.

The EDO education Ghulam Nabi Dai Dano has been replaced by Ramzan Parhiyar. Likewise, EDO health Abdul Qadir Sheikh has been replaced by Jalil Bachani. EDO is a grade 20 post on which normally officers of BPS-19 are appointed.

In Jamshoro, Dr. Ali Akbar, who was holding charge of EDO health, in addition to district officers accounts and administration was relieved of the additional charge. He has been replaced by uncle of newly inducted Sindh Revenue Minister Murad Ali Shah, Dr. Munawar Shah.

Dr. Ali Akbar is husband of PML’s MPA Nuzhat Pathan, who had got her husband inducted in district government from PIA as she defected to PML from PPP.

PPP MPA Farheen Mughal has already managed to get her husband Imtiaz Rajpar deputed as deputy director food Hyderabad. DCO Matiari Dr. Usman Chachar has been asked to report to S&GAD. Matiari district is headed by Mohammad Ali Shah Jamote of PML-F.

On Tuesday medical superintendent of Liaquat University Hospital branch Dr. Mohammad Waseem Shaikh was replaced by Dr Manzoor Memon. Sheikh was holding acting charge when MQM had health ministry’s portfolio.

Earlier, Dr. Sharif Rathore, who was MS of government Paretabad hospital and was holding additional charge of EDO health, has been replaced by kin of another PPP MPA from Tando Allahyar Imdad Pitafi. His father, Dr.Bux Ali Pitafi, is now posted as EDO health.
