ISLAMABAD, July 29: Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz has said that the people involved in suicide attacks and other bomb blasts would be arrested and given exemplary punishment.

Talking to newsmen on Sunday after his visit to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Science, he said law enforcement agencies had been working hard so that the culprits behind the Aabpara suicide attack and other bomb blasts could be arrested soon.

Mr Aziz visited the hospital to enquire about the health of the Aabpara blast injured.

The prime minister said: “Suicide attacks and bomb explosions always kill innocent people and it is against the basic teachings of Islam.”

He urged the nation to inculcate unity in their ranks to face the challenges of extremist and terrorist elements who wanted to disturb peace, progress and prosperity in the country.

Mr Aziz said unity, peace and brotherhood were the basic ingredients of Islam. Therefore, he added, the elements involved in bomb blasts were working against the basic theme of the religion.

Referring to the message of faith, unity and disciple of Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah and message of peace of religion of Islam, he said peace and brotherhood were keys to success and prosperity.

The prime minister said there was a need to promote unity and peace in the society and urged the people from different walks of life to play their due role in this regard.

He said some forces were working against the solidarity and interest of the country on the instructions of foreign forces. He said the government had taken adequate measures to face such elements.—APP
