Two ministers get additional portfolios

ISLAMABAD, March 30: Two federal ministers have been given additional charge following departure of two ministers from the cabinet after Senate election held on March 10.

According to an official notification, the charge of ministry of culture and sports, earlier held by Ajmal Khan from Fata, has been given to Education Minister Lt-Gen (retd) Javed Ashraf Qazi and the portfolio of privatisation and investment, vacated by Dr Hafeez Sheikh, to Information Technology Minister Awais Leghari.

Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz had told journalists on March 12, the day Senate chairman and deputy chairman were elected, that cabinet reshuffle and expansion would be undertaken in two weeks.
