ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira on Monday said that Pakistan Peoples Party government respects the judiciary and its decisions.

Talking to DawnNews, Kaira said “We are thankful to apex court for granting time to the prime minister.”

He said “We are bound to the decision of the courts” and added “the Prime Minister had said that he wanted to resolve the issue.”

Kaira further said that Prime Minister Ashraf will consult the coalition partners and legal team, adding that the legal team will decide about writing the letter.

Replying to a question the Information Minister said that President enjoys immunity according to the national and international laws.

He said that the cases made against the PPP were baseless and concocted.

Replying to another question, Qamar Zaman Kaira said that President had no links regarding the matter of Swiss accounts.

To a question regarding Faisal Raza Abdi, he said that the party worker used the language in his personal capacity and it was unfortunate.
