Outlaws arrested

ISLAMABAD, Aug 17: The capital police on Friday arrested seven outlaws from different areas of the city and seized three pistols, two cars and looted items from them, police said.

Industrial Area police, in response to a tip-off, raided the hideout in Sector I-9/4, and arrested three persons. Two of their accomplices managed to escape. The arrest also led to the recovery of three pistols and 14 rounds. During interrogation, the accused claimed that they had come to Islamabad fro Bagh, Azad Kashmir, to commit burglaries.

Similarly, Aabpara police arrested two thieves and recovered cash and stolen items from them. The police also found a stolen car.

Tarnol police also recovered a car (LED-7876) with fake registration number, and arrested the man in whose possession the vehicle was in.

Moreover, Sihala police arrested 29 suspects during search operation in various areas including Azeem Town, Model Town, Humak, Sihala Bazaar and other slum areas.—Staff Reporter
