LAHORE: A sessions court on Thursday granted pre-arrest bail to a woman in a case of allegedly attacking a traffic warden over a car parking issue in Liberty Market, Gulberg.

The woman, Ms Raseesan Masoof Farooqi, along with her counsel appeared before the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Naeem Sheikh.

The judge allowed interim bail to her till July 22, subject to furnishing bail bonds worth Rs50,000.

The Gulberg police had registered the FIR against the woman under sections 186, 353, 290, and 291 of the Pakistan Penal Code.

A video of the incident shared widely on social media showed a warden asking the lady not to park her car on the road. The woman could be seen violating traffic rules, abusing and hitting the warden on his face and hurling threats of dire consequences.
