TAXILA: A 15-year-old shepherd drowned while rescuing his goat in the Soan River near Nikka Kallan, in the limits of Pindigheb police station on Monday.

Police and hospital sources said Mohammad Rehman went to the riverbank with his herd when one of his goats wandered into deep waters.

The boy lost his balance and drowned while he was trying to rescue it.
