ISLAMABAD: Chief Commissioner Amer Ali Ahmed in exercise of powers of Board of Revenue has made five newly appointed assistant commissioners (ACs) as additional collectors of revenue.

An official of ICT said that this move has been done to improve management and ensure better supervision of revnue department.

“Now ACs will directly supervise the work of naib tehslidars in Islamabad,” he said and after giving supervisory power to ACs, belonging to Pakistan Administrative Service Group, it is believed that performance of revenue department will improve.

He said directions had also been issue for timelines regarding disposal of cases.

The officer said that from Tuesday onwards cause-list of cases will be uploaded on website. Moreover, decisions will also be uploaded.

“This is a step for reforming the revenue department. With the posting of ACs they are likely to be given task of expeditious computerisation of land review record,” the officer said.
