LAHORE: A minor boy died while two others were injured, one of them seriously, after the roof of their house collapsed on them in the Shahdara area on Saturday.

The incident occurred in the Qazi Park and the reason is said to be the dilapidated condition of the house.

A police official said that as the roof collapsed, three members of the family - Shahzad, Anees and Amir - got trapped under the huge debris.

Rescue 1122 teams rushed to the site along with special vehicles and the equipment. The rescue work delayed for an hour due to poor access to the house. Rescue 1122 teams recovered the three people from the debris and rushed them to a local hospital but Anees died on the way.
