Motorcycle track

THIS is apropos the news item ‘Separate bike lane on Sharea Faisal launched’ (Dec 2). The initiative taken by Karachi police authorities by launching a separate lane for motorcyclists on Sharea Faisal is highly commendable.

This ensures faster, more importantly, a safer journey, which will be benefiting for all commuters at large.

Only effective implementation can make Sharea Faisal a ‘model road’. Plans like these are bound to fail if they lack implementation.

To reap the benefits of this plan, all are required to act responsibly. The motorcyclists should follow the instructions and the authorities should ensure the rules are implemented.
