LAHORE: Three labourers were electrocuted while installing advertising board in Defence-C on Sunday.

Police said Fakhar Hayat, 20, Wali Muhammad, 22, and Muhammad Khan, 24, workers of a private billboard company, were installing an advertisement board near Air Avenue in Defense Housing Authority’s Phase-8 when they accidentally touched a live wire. The workers suffered electric shock and died on the spot.

Police shifted the bodies to morgue for autopsy and were waiting for their families to complete legal formalities.

Cantonment Division Superintendent of Police (SP) Investigation Anoosh Masood told Dawn that the workers were installing the advertisement boards at the road without wearing protective gadgets. She said they belonged to Pakpattan and police were waiting for their families to complete legal formalities.
