PSO dividend

Published December 4, 2016

PAKISTAN State Oil announced dividend on Aug 15 for financial year ending on June 30. It has been three months since the announcement of the dividend but the shareholders of the company have not received the dividend.

This is an unbelievable delay. It is surprising to note that in today’s world of technological advancement our country’s biggest company takes more than three months, after declaration, to pay the dividend to its shareholders.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, the minister of petroleum and natural resources, who is also chairman of the PSO’s board of directors, should look into this matter and help the shareholders, especially the small and retired ones to get the timely payment of dividend.
