KARACHI: An 18-year old girl was killed by her father over ‘honour’ in the metropolis’ North Karachi area on Monday, according to police officials.

The daughter, Bakhtawar, was murdered by her father, Akhtar Hussain, using a pair of scissors,” said Sir Syed SHO.

The police official added the girl received fatal wounds on her abdomen as a result of the attack.

Women rights activist and politicians called for renewed efforts to curb the menace that has plagued the country for decades.
