‘DEMOCRACY is the best revenge.’ Blizzard bombard our ears daily. Orators of these well-crafted statements perhaps pay little attention to axioms like ‘actions speak louder than words’.Pakistan’s political brass, the champions of democracy, need to ponder the contradictions between their words and actions.

The embezzlement scandals and their lavish lifestyle have left us wondering: ‘what sort of revenge democracy is? And from whom?’
