There is no need to raise the issue at international level. When the missile is tested, the whole world knows about it so our response should be to make sure that our defence mechanism is robust and our deterrent system is such that the enemy can't dare challenge us ever again. That's the only response to such missile tests.

It's a defence missle, why is Pakistan upset that India can stop missles from hitting it?

We do not need an arms race in the subcontinent. Our people are already suffering. We need more hospitals, more schools, more colleges, universities, social services you name it. We do not need bombs, missiles, guns or any other instruments of war. When will our population realize that this animosity between neighbors benefit just a few whereas the majority of us are suffering. We need to try peace for a while and if the results are not favorable we can always go back to fighting like the wild beasts.

Its an interceptor missile that is part of their missile defense system. This is not a stand-alone, independent attack missile. This is designed to destroy incoming missiles from China. So why should Pakistan be bothered about it unless its doing China's bidding.

The interceptor missile is very much aligned to India's unilateral stand of "no-first strike" when it comes to N-weapons. This means it is imperative for India to build second strike capability. I am not sure if this is such an alarming development for any of the neighbours. Instead of worry about the interceptor, nations should work towards getting a "no first stike" commitment for all Nuclear capable nations. This will eliminate the possibility of any responsible nation using N-weapons for launching an offensive

Actually, interceptor missiles do cause a matter of concern among international community. As it is one of the chief proponent of modern day Arms Race. See, there are 2 hostile nation/group. Both of parity in their arms, missiles and platforms capacity. But suddenly news flashes that one has tested an interceptor missile and the other will surely feels that its/their missiles have become obsolete and start upgrading systems existing and look for other options which sometimes is responsible for lower threshold for engagement and when both are nuclear, then even worse nuclear exchange.

One case study is the anti-ballistic missile treaty between US and USSR with social and political region for US While economic for USSR. As ABMs offered deterrence to ballistic ICBMs soviets developed MIRV, electronic and heavy decoys like heavy R-36 missiles as many as 40 on a single platform. It like was like 40 times more complex to destroy a single which simply increased the vulnerability further while Moscow has already deployed A-35 BMDs in Moscow. So, US changed its doctrine to Mutually assured destruction, MAD which was highly critiqued by its people forcing is to go for the treaty while soviets defense budget was 40%of its GDP then which made it unfeasible to develop more such systems. In short, BMDs made the world even more dangerous than without it. But, in early 2000s treaty had been dissolved as US argued it need to develop them against some rogue nation( north Korea, China, less likely Russia unless ignited by US themselves). So there comes AGIES and S-500.

OK imbalance is there..its not about why India has done that, its about why Pakistan is not allowed to do that with freedom. Pakistan is going to raise concern that when we start working on increasing our nuke arsenals world start putting pressure against it, and on the other hand India gets all support from around the world. If its good for India they have right to do it but i think Pakistan should be allowed to do it also without any foreign pressure

instead of complaining, it is better to develop the same technology and fast because this is not good news for Pak's longer range missiles. Though this technology does not counter tactical nuclear missiles as they are impossible to counter, however, this leaves Pak vulnerable in case of an Indian aggression. If Pak can't develop the same technology as it is mastered by only few countries in the world i.e. US, Russia and Israel (I am no sure if China has this technology), the other option is to develop multi-long range missile launchers as that will nullify the missile shield because it will be difficult to knock down numerous missiles at the same time.

Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) which makes the military missiles for India also serves 20 countries including US, Britain, Canada and some EU countries by putting their satellites into orbit. Complaining about ISRO internationally will yield nothing.
