SWAT: Police has arrested a Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) district councillor in connection with PTI lawmaker Sardar Soran Singh's murder on Sunday.
The suspect, Baldev Kumar, was arrested from Barikot area of Swat district. He has been shifted to an undisclosed location for further interrogation, said police officials.
Two other suspects were arrested also arrested from Buner district.

It is pertinent to mention that Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) had claimed responsibility for the assassination.
Sardar Soran Singh, a special assistant to chief minister KP on minorities’ affairs and an MPA, was gunned down in a targeted attack near Pir Baba in Buner district on Friday.
Soran Singh belonged to the Sikh community and joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in 2011 after being associated with Jamaat-i-Islami. He held one of several seats reserved for religious minorities in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa provincial assembly.
Three years ago, another PTI provincial lawmaker Fareed Khan was shot dead by unknown gunmen in Hangu.

Soran Singh was the son of Pakistan. They should not leave any stone unturned. KPK police should be appreciated for the quick response.

I didn't understand what do you mean by this comment?
Should they not arrest a murderer?
Maybe the person arrested has special significance ( may have been working with the antistate elements or enemy agencies) because the person murdered was a true Pakistan lover. He sacrificed his family life for Pakistan.
It will be shameful to play politics on this.

apprehending the culprits isn't the comprehensive solution rather we need to analyse the other factors like having close surveillance over the pak afghan border and repatriate 3 million afghans to Afghanistan there must be documentation process on the border as it happens in others countries

This is why IK/PTI is 1 in Pakistan. The most clean one. Slain Singh was a Tiger. So good to know KPK Police were so efficient and even better to know they arrested the suspect from within PTI. Proves KPK Police is free from any sort of political influence. Way to go PTI!

This shows kpk police is independent and other provinces should follow the lead, irrespective of any political party, the police should be allowed to carry out its duties independently without any interference.

Sardar Soren Singh was a true patriot. I am deeply sadened at his murder. I feel there are some evil forces behind his murder who did this to defame Pakistan, to creat a sense of insecurity among Pakistani Sikhs and to creat a bad feeling among the two people who otherwise are getting closer on various forums in the world.
