SUKKUR: The building of Khan Munawar Khan Hospital situated near Agha Qadir Dad dates market, Rohri, has been handed over to the Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT).

In this connection, a handing over ceremony was held at SIUT Chablani Hospital here on Thursday.

Those attending the ceremony included SIUT chief Prof Dr Adibul Hassan Rizvi, Khan Munawar Khan, Sukkur Division Commissioner Muhammad Abbas Baloch, Deputy Commissioner Shahzad Fazal Abbasi, Sukkur Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Aamir Ghouri, prominent citizens and other people.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof Dr Rizvi said a cancer unit would be established in Khan Munawar Khan Hospital for which an amount of Rs1.5 billion would be spent on the hospital’s building while Rs1.5 billion would be spent on the hospital’s machinery and other equipment.
