LAHORE: Justice Mahmood Maqbool Bajwa of the Lahore High Court on Saturday directed the judges of the anti-terrorism courts of Punjab to expedite disposal of cases.

Justice Bajwa being administrative judge of ATCs in Punjab issued the direction at a meeting held to review and evaluate performance of the judges, the prosecution, the police and the home department.

All the judges of ATCs, Member Inspection Team of LHC, Secretary Home Department, Prosecutor General Punjab, officiating CCPO, Lahore and the regional police officers of Punjab attended the meeting and discussed the urgent issues related to courts.

Justice Bajwa expressed his satisfaction over working of the special courts and directed their judges to expedite disposal of pending cases as per spirit of law and also required the other stakeholders, including the police, to put hectic efforts to complete investigation of the cases and to arrest proclaimed offenders at the earliest.
