It's no secret that Jal lead singer Farhan Saeed and Na Maloom Afraad starlet Urwa Hocane are in love in real life. Therefore, it was only a matter of time until the two worked together as well; in upcoming television show, Mere Ajnabi, the duo appears as an on-screen couple.

Although the plot has been kept under wraps for the most part, it is fairly obvious that it's a love story. A PR rep for the couple shares: "It's a character driven show, which revolves around Urwa's character and her life. Without giving away too much, I'd just say it chronicles how life is not bed of roses and how women go through many trials and tribulations."

The ARY show has been directed by Ahmed Bhatti and written by Saima Akram. The cast also includes Saba Hameed, Ahmed Hassan, Firdous Jamal, Waseem Abbas and Huma Nawab, among others.

Fun fact: Farhan Saeed will be singing the soundtrack for the drama and we've learnt that Urwa has tried her hand at singing too in bits and pieces! Another first and another thing to look forward to from the power couple!

Mere Ajnabi goes on air on 29 July.
