TOBA TEK SINGH: Bank staff and passersby captured a gunman on Tuesday for trying to snatch money from a man at an ATM cabin on Tehsil Office Road in Gojra.

Staffers told reporters Afzal, of Bilal Park, was drawing cash from the ATM, when two motorcyclists arrived there; one of them entered the cabin while the other remained outside. The man tried to snatch cash and other valuables from Afzal at gunpoint. A bank staffer saw the scene on the CCTV and alerted other staffers. Soon, the staff and other people overpowered the gunman. His accomplice managed to flee.

He was handed over to the city police and was identified as Shahid Ali, of Chak 49-GB, Samundri.
