KARACHI: The final round of the 20th Hinopak Trophy KCCA Inter-departmental Cricket League begins from Monday with three matches scheduled on the opening day.

A total of 11 teams have qualified for second phase of the competition with reigning champions K-Electric placed in Group ‘A’ which also includes Karachi Port Trust (KPT), winners of the recent Patron’s Trophy (Grade-II) title.

Other sides in this pool are Rangoonwala, Dubai Hawks and Medicam Group.

The six-team Group ‘A’ has last year’s runners-up Pakistan Navy, Dollar East, Saudi Pak, Eaton, Omar Associates and Hinopak Motors.

In the opening fixtures K-Electric take on Medicam Group at the KCCA Stadium, Dubai Hawks meet Rangoonwala at the TMC Ground and Dollar East face Saudi Pak at the Landhi Gymkhana Ground.

The group phase of the tournament concludes on May 10, while the semi-finals are slated to be played simultaneously on May 13 at the KCCA Stadium and TMC Ground respectively, according to an announcement made by tournament secretary Jameel Ahmed.
