RECEPTION

A ceremony to honour poets from the United States Ayaz Mufti, Basit Jalili, Tasneem Abidi, Tarannum Shabbir and Khalid Khuwaja and a novelist from Australia Rehan Alvi under the auspices of the Anjuman Taraqqi-i-Urdu Pakistan at its Gulshan office at 10.30am.

A seminar on “Hamza Alavi: contribution and Relevance” to mark the 94th birth anniversary of the late professor at the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Clifton, at 5pm.

Exhibition

An exhibition of paintings by Khusro Subzwari and Xandria Noir opens at the Artciti gallery at 6pm.

The show titled “Surreal sensibilities” will remain open till April 24.
