LAHORE: Indian singer, song writer and composer Mika Singh has said Pakistan is a peaceful country and he is enjoying his trip.

“I am fortunate that people in both India and Pakistan are my fan and love me,” he told a press conference at Faletti’s Hotel on Saturday. Singh, who is in Lahore for a couple of days and performed at a private function on Friday night, underscored the need to have a “soft visa policy” between the two countries to promote people-to-people contacts.

“I am enjoying every bit of my stay in Lahore especially the traditional food. Lahore is a peaceful city and people here have given me lots of love,” he said.

He said he was in Lahore for the fourth time and wanted to stay here for at least a month but he had a busy schedule back home.

“I saw the Wagah ceremony and will visit sacred places to pay homage to saints and seers like Baba Bulleh Shah,” he said. He said he was highly inspired by Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and working on a Sufi kalam with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Ibrarul Haq which would soon be released in both the countries.

“I am also eager to see commercial theatre and a great fan of Amanullah and the late Mastana.” He also praised Shan and Mahira Khan both of whom would be seen in a Bollywood project.
