Team formed to question model Ayyan

RAWALPINDI: The customs department on Tuesday formed a special team to question model Ayyan Ali in Adiala jail.

Ayyan was arrested at Benazir Bhutto airport on Saturday for allegedly attempting to smuggle $506,800 out of the country.

The customs investigators will also approach senior officials of the commercial bank from where the foreign currency was withdrawn either by the model or someone else.

The source said initial investigation showed that the model had been frequently travelling abroad since 2009.

The investigators were facing problems in getting the call data of Ayyan’s BlackBerry and I-phone as the phones had been blocked soon after she was detained. Sims issued from Dubai were also found blocked when she was taken into custody.

Fishy & Strange! 1. Can't get Data from I-Phone & Blackberry? (What about the Service Provider?). Even if the Sims are Blocked, how about Forensic Technoogy? 2. Have been Traveling Since 2009? Money Laundering! 3. Mafia at its Best! She was a Mule! 4. Rule out that she's "Naive"!

Quite ridiculous. The money she wanted to take overseas is peanuts compared to the money our politicians take abroad. At least she worked for her money and didn't get it through corruption

The law enforcement need to learn that the new smart phones come with a kill switch. Next time they need an anti static pouch to store the device and can only open the device in a signal free environment
