SIALKOT: A powerful explosion at a trader’s house in Chawinda town shattered windowpanes, door glasses and ventilators into pieces on Friday morning.

Pasrur Assistant Commissioner Tauqeer Ilyas Cheema said the explosion occurred at the house of Ashraf. The explosion jolted the Chawinda town but did not result in loss of life.

Soon after the explosion, the police, bomb disposal squad and local administration rushed to the spot and found no gas leakage or cylinder at the scene. The AC said they had yet to find the cause of the blast.
