KULC cruise into U-12 football tourney final

KARACHI: Karachi United Lyari Centre recorded a narrow 1-0 triumph over Agra Taj Centre in the semi-finals of DMC South Shuhada Army Public School Peshawar U-12 Football Championship at the Kakri Ground Lyari here on Monday.

After a barren first half, Mohammad Faheem broke the stalemate by scoring the decisive goal for KULC in the second half. KULC will now meet Malir Centre in the final clash of the tournament.

Chief guest Karachi Commissioner Shoaib Siddiqui praised DMC South for organising this tournament in memory of the martyrs of the Peshawar school attack.

Municipal commissioner Mohammad Raeesi said that efforts were being made to involve children in sports activities besides their studies which will help create a healthy environment in the society.
