WELLINGTON: Exhibiting optimism ahead of the upcoming World Cup, former New Zealand skipper Stephen Fleming believes that Black Caps and Australia would make the final to contest for the coveted trophy.
Fleming, who participated in four World Cups, said New Zealand and Australia would make the final to be held in Melbourne on March 29, adding that South Africa would be close and West Indies were the dark horse.
Pointing out the like of Kane Williamson, Ross Taylor, Brendon McCullum, and veteran spinner Daniel Vettori as the star players, Fleming further said that the beauty of it was that he could name three or four players to watch out for and that was why he was optimistic about the Cup.
The World Cup starts in Australia and New Zealand on Feb 14.

Aus or NZ is most likely to be one in the Final, as I do not see India to be able to defend the world cup and other sub continental team are also in disarray.I am also somewhat hopeful about SA's chances.

Australia will win it. As much as I would lime SA or NZ to win, they will choke. Pakistan will also beat india.

There is very little chances for asian in d upcoming world cup because of green top and big ground size..its hard to imagine any subcontinent team in d final.

S.Africa, Australia, New Zealand,and West Indies are the fav teams for semi finals...and after that dos teams will win who perform best..and Pakistan vs India s match will be interesting,hope Pakistan will give tough fight to India.

@Mahen yeah thats true but whenever comes to india vs pakistan match..indians player play more agresive and pak players play under pressure..thats diffrent between two teams..thats indians wins every time agaist pak in all mojor event.

No restriction on dreaming.
NZ was unbeaten in the 1992 WC until Pakistan beat them.
They will do better at the group stage but in the knock out stage they will be out same will happen to SA.
The final will be again between Pakistan and England and Pakistan will be victorious again.

Seems New zealand is best time. Perhaps having best pace attack in form of Milne, most experienced spinner Danial Vettori, Very good hitters with mix of test experience, Mcalums, Ross Taylor. It would be real unfortunate if they dont win it...
