RECENTLY I completed my studies at Government College University, Lahore, with BA (Hons) in Political Science as a major subject.

Nowadays, I am preparing for the upcoming CSS 2015 examinations for which I daily visit Government Punjab Public Library.

The library daily welcomes people from all walks of life without having age restrictions.

From having Children Hall to General Reading Hall, it is home to a variety of books written in English, Urdu and Persian.

Its open landscape and serene atmosphere provides a conducive environment for studying and promotes a reading culture among the public, which is a worthy cause for which the Punjab government should be credited.

However, the library does not have any canteen at present. Right at its entrance, beside the reception towards the right side, there is a small shop with the sign ‘Canteen’, which is locked all the time.I request the relevant authority to start the canteen.
