KARACHI: Pakistan Air Force (PAF), Pakistan Army and Sindh recorded two wins each on the opening day of the National Men’s Beach Netball Championship which started at Sea View on Saturday.

PAF got off to a flying start with Mohammad Akhtar Jatt scoring 16 goals as they overwhelmed Punjab 19-6 before they recorded their second win when they overcame Fata 18-7.

Army beat Wapda 29-9 and then outplayed Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 27-1. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa endured a miserable day when they lost 3-26 to Sindh who also beat Wapda 17-1.

Earlier, chief guest Saifullah Khan and Mubeen Pirzada, also the guest-of-honour, declared the championship, organised by Sindh Netball Association and Pakistan Netball Federation, open.
