LAHORE: Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said the day of accountability of terrorists has come and the blood of martyrs will not go to waste.

According to a handout, he said terrorists would be held accountable for every drop of blood of the innocent children and their teachers and would be awarded deterrent punishment.

The chief minister was talking to MNA Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar and MPA Makhdoom Hashim who met him here on Friday. He said the Pakistan Army was facing terrorists boldly and courageously and Operation Zarb-i-Azb was continuing successfully in North Waziristan. He also said the whole nation was proud of the army.

The chief minister said the Peshawar tragedy had awakened the entire nation. He called those playing with the lives of innocent citizens savages. He said the need for national unity and harmony was more than ever now and the nation had become united to root out terrorism. He added that terrorism would be eradicated with unity and Pakistan rid of terrorists and extremists.
