Protest against ‘Islamisation’ of Germany

DRESDEN: More than 10,000 people demonstrated on Monday in eastern Germany against ‘criminal asylum seekers’ and the “Islamisation” of the country, in the latest show of strength of a growing far-right populist movement, according to police.
The mass demonstration in the eastern city of Dresden was the ninth so-called ‘Monday demonstration’ organised by the group ‘Patriotic Europeans Against the Islamisation of the Occident’ or PEGIDA.
Around 1,200 police, most in riot gear, were on hand to watch over the vocal but peaceful rally.
“We are the people,” chanted the demonstrators, co-opting the phrase famously shouted a quarter-century ago by East German pro-democracy protesters here in the lead-up to the fall of the Berlin Wall.
Dominated by ordinary citizens but supported by neo-Nazis and hard-right football hooligans, PEGIDA has sparked nationwide soul-searching as it has grown and spawned half a dozen clone movements across Germany.
Chancellor Angela Merkel earlier on Monday condemned the protests and warned Germans not to be “exploited” by extremists, saying the right to demonstrate did not extend to “rabble-rousing and defamation” against foreigners.—AFP

They have the right to protest. It is people like JJ who in their own country speak against the rignts of women but when there is a question of their our rights they move to UK or other western countries.

If all approx 24 million Muslims in EU left europe Tomorrow, Europe will still have all the issues it has today. Unemployment, inflation, euro crisis, banking crisis, family breakdown, teenage pregnancies etc etc etc.
Muslims are Jews of 21st century in Europe.

When Muslims are in Majority they want to convert and force everyone and also deny them right to follow their religions. When they are minority they complain even in democratic countries. Germans have full right to throw these people out. Dont know why some Pakistanis are complaining.

@Lafanga if all 24 million Muslims left European countries there will be that many jobs available to indigenous Europeans. Also there will be less dependence on welfare systems of European nations.

The fringe elements of the far right have found an issue that appeals even to those Germans who will have nothing to do with these hate mongers in any other issue. Except for a microscopic proportion, the Muslims in Germany are interested I n only one thing. Working for a better life for themselves. But are they coming out openly to condemn the religious extremists who live among them?

Thats why so many Pakistanis have surnames like Chauhan, Rathore, Randhawa, Gujjar, Jatt, Sandhu, Rajput, Cheema etc. These are not Muslim names, my friend. These are Hindu and Sikh castes. Please face the truth. You have a famous movie called "Maula Jutt". What is Jutt? Is it Arabic or Turkish? Was bin Qasim a Gujjar? Please don't close your eyes to your own reality.

@Ahmad He said "when Muslims are in majority". Oh and btw, Aurangzeb did enforce Jaziya and forced conversions. The murder of Sikh and Hindu children due to their parents resistance to conversion is a historically documented fact from the Aurangzeb and his successors' era. The 200 million Muslims in present-day India did not drop from the sky.

I think that is just normal reaction..... they have got all asylum seekers... most of them with little education.... no skills.... crossed over only to live on doles...
Which nation wants such people... let alone nations... will you allow own relatives to pile up on you and live in your home and be dependent on you forever?
And what if after a while these relatives of yours start dictating how you should live your live in your home? Their only right- having lived in your home for many years!!
This would be true of any nation.... the Gulf nations have begun the process of nationalization.... and to their benefit they do not give citizenship ever...
Normal reaction....they would have acted in a similar way even if say South American Christians were to migrate there in large numbers...

@Ahmad They couldn't do because local Rajput and Maratha kings prevented a full Islamisation on India. Where did the 12 crore Indian Muslims come from otherwise? If you want freedom in non-Islamic countries, provide the necessary freedom for non-Muslims in Islamic countries. Can you start with Saudi Arabia?
