Danish ambassador glad

PESHAWAR: Former squash world champions Qamar Zaman and Jansher Khan and Director Sports Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) Coaching Centre Mohibullah on Thursday lauded Denmark Ambassador to Pakistan Jesper Moller Sorensen for visiting Peshawar and playing an exhibition match against Jansher.

The ambassador lost to Jansher 13-15.

“It was an honour for me to play against the living legend Jansher Khan,” said the ambassador at the PSB coaching centre.

“I’m playing squash on regular basis and feel good to see talented male and female squash players emerge from KP,” Sorensen said.

Stating that Pakistan is a progressive country, the Danish ambassador said that he found the people of Pakistan cultured and peace-loving.

Pakistan players said their country ruled the world of squash for 37 years and interestingly all Pakistan’s seven world champions belonged to Nawa Kali village.
