GUJRAT: A teenager, who was severely tortured by his rivals at an outhouse in Banian village in Kunjah on Oct 19, was out of danger at the Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Hospital.

Reports said that Imran, 19, had been trussed up with a rope and then injured with bricks by accused Zohaib, Ali Shaan and their three accomplices.

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has taken a serious notice of the incident and sought a detailed report from the police.

The Kunjah police had on Oct 20 registered a case against the five nominated accused under sections 337 A1, A2, L2, 147 and 149 of the PPC.

The police have arrested four accused, one among them is a 70-year-old man, while another is still at large.
