FAISALABAD: A youngster breached the security circle of Governor Chaudhry Sarwar on Monday at the Government College University, Faisalabad, to get his attention on admission forms submission.

The governor was presiding over the fifth convocation when Ahsan Ali, of Pir Mahal, got on the stage. The security staff of the governor and the university held the intruder and pushed him off the stage.

A security guard of the university also slapped him when he insisted on meeting the governor.

Ali told reporters he wanted to convey the governor that university officials had refused to collect his admission form for a distance learning discipline citing governor’s presence in the university.

He said his repeated requests fell on a deaf ear though Monday was the last date for form submission.

The governor asked the officials to take the man to him and gave hearing.

Ali apprised the governor of his ordeal.

Mr Sarwar asked the university officials to resolve the issue.
