IT has been over 30 days of the sit-in by the PTI under the leadership of Imran Khan. He, with thousands of people in the evening and hundreds in the day, is there for the ‘change’ and ‘Naya Pakistan’.

But it is time the PTI rationalised its rhetoric. I do not know how Mr Khan is defining the ‘change’.

The equality of economic opportunities, one system of education and land reforms in favour of farmers are minimum changes we would like to see in Naya Pakistan.

But, what I see in Mr Khan’s main advisers are people representing the business class and landlords. Would they let him revolutionise the whole system in favour of labourers, farmers and students who cannot afford prestigious school education?

Would they be ready to sacrifice their economic ventures in favour of the people? There are chances Mr Khan will himself become part of this system, and the people representing powerful segments of society will hijack his policies?
