PML-N members continue boycott of Balochistan Assembly session

QUETTA: PML-N’s members of the Balochistan Assembly did not attend the session on Monday in protest against the attitude of its coalition partners – the National Party and Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party – who had opposed its resolution.

During Wednesday’s session Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch and PkMAP members opposed the PML-N’s move to table a resolution that asked the Election Commission to unseat its minority member Santosh Kumar for violating party’s organisational discipline.

The general debate on the adjournment motion of Maulana Abdul Wasay could not be held as the health minister was not present in the house.

Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Abdur Rahim Ziaratwal tabled the Balochistan Prohibition of Private Money Lending Bill, 2014, that was exempted from Rule 84 of the Assembly Business of Procedure, 1974.
