ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday expressed deep sorrow over the demise of legendary squash player Hashim Khan who expired in Colorado, US on Monday night after protracted illness.

In his condolence message, the PM while praying for the departed soul said may the Almighy Allah grant courage to the bereaved family to bear this colossal loss.

Meanwhile, president of the Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) and Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt also expressed grief on the demise of Hashim Khan.

Tahir paid rich tributes to the legendary player and said the services and contribution of Hashim for the country and the game of squash could never be forgotten.

“He (Hashim) would always be a beacon of light for the young squash players all over the world,” said the air chief.
