I am shocked at the way history is being de shaped and the way lies are being spread out of ignorance and sometimes due to fulfillment of nefarious dirty designs. Brig Niaz was never removed for refusing to open fire on " PPP" workers, on the contrary Bhutto ordered to open fire on the protestors in Lahorr which he refused. This was one of the causes of Army takeover in 1977. Now this NEWS item tells an opposite story far far from reality, correspondent and the news team should be ashamed of themselves for telling and spreading lies about our history. History is witness that the so calle Dictators , never opened fire on the general public in Pakistan, May it be Bhutto in Liaqat Bagh or Nawaz in Model Town!!!!

After the general elections of 1977, allegations of mass scale rigging were made and widespread disturbances erupted in Lahore following the clash between protesters and police. In July 1977 martial Law was imposed by Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and the army was deployed to quell the protests. That was when three Brigade Commanders, employed under Martial Law, resigned in protest against the use of force on unarmed civilians. The three brigadiers were Muhammad Ashraf, Niaz Ahmed and Ishtiaq Ali Khan. They were the few good men who knew what the word dignity and honour means - they sacrificed what they loved the most "ARMY" and chose the right path. One of them was Brig Niaz Ahmed - who passed away today. May he rest in peace and may the motherland raise more sons like the "The Three Brigadiers" - who are the unsung heroes of our history. # Pervez Musharraf. Brig Niaz Ahmed had a great relationship with General Pervez Musharraf. Inf act, when Pervez Musharraf initially shifted residence to London - he was initially hosted by Brig Niaz. The army only took over after the resignations of the three brigadiers.They were against the deployment of the army and wanted Zia to resign rather than seeing him follow the orders. Though the order came from bhutto,they were given the order by Zia.

A shameful, digraceful and twisted story about the event. I my self was part of this event. Bhutto had impose Martial Law in Lahore in 1977 and ordered Army to shoot the protesters against the mass rigging in elections by him. Three brigadiers one after another had refused to fire on public and were reduced from their ranks and retired and Brig Niaz was one of them. Thereafter General Zia arrested Bhutto and imposed ML. Army should just pick all such agents themselves (not to handover them to Courts or Judges), spreading Indian Black Propaganda, sponsored and financed by the Indians in the name of "JOUNALISM".

Please change this. This is defaming a recently passed away person. Your history is uttely wrong. Brig Niaz refused to open fire on PNA workers, as ordered by Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.

Why we take pride in disgracing army, why we do not disgrace political leaders who are always bent upon creating problems for army, trying to hatch conspiracies to get army disgraced in front of general public for their own political purpose.
